However, you may wish to place them at the bottom of your resume, since, depending on your layout, they can potentially detract from the importance of your career objective, personal and professional skills, and work history. Many of the items often excluded from North American resumes (age, marital status and nationality) are actually crucial to international recruiters, so they are worth including. Consider including the following in a "Personal Data" section at the bottom of your resume: date of birth, marital status and dependents, spouse's occupation, mobility and availability, language, nationality (including, in some instances, ethnicity and religion), security clearance, foreign travel, hobbies, contact information and references.
