LinkedIn is an easy way to research positions and keywords in advance of your job search. Jot down skills and recurring keywords that you see in the profiles of people in your industry. Not only will this help you in your online job search, it can also give you a good idea of skills you need to focus on building in order to succeed in your chosen field.
Don't visit the same job sites every day. Instead, we recommend creating a schedule for yourself: visit approximately five to ten job sites each day, on a three-day repeating cycle. This allows you to check in with your top sites two or three times a week, which is more than enough to keep up with important job leads.
