Interning abroad is an ideal way to give your career an extra boost in its early stages. Not only will you be developing skills in your chosen field, you'll also be adding value to your internship by building adaptation and communication skills -- not to mention learning about another culture, and perhaps even learning a new language.

Connect-123 is a company that develops and administers internship programs, as well as volunteer and study programs. Internships are available in Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, Dublin and Shanghai. The programs are fee-based, but every once in a while they do run scholarship competitions for outstanding candidates.

In all Connect-123's countries, programs are hosted by local companies, non-profit organizations, schools, research institutes and health care clinics; and each program location has a different internship focus, so be sure to read the details or inquire directly if you're interested in traveling with them. You can also check out their blog for tips and updates on interning and other experiences abroad.

Registered users can also check out the Connect-123 profile on the main MyWorld site.
