Erin is a Canadian student with a penchant for globetrotting. So far in her university career, she’s gone on exchange to both Australia and the US. Erin maximized her time on exchange by volunteering, taking on part-time work, socializing with international students and participating in a wide variety of other exciting extra-curricular activities. She also parlayed her experience in the States into several other international adventures.

Hannah, like many students, had plans to travel abroad in the summer of 2020. But when the pandemic put an end to those plans, Hannah found another way to expand her cross-cultural experience -- by completing a virtual teaching internship online. Working directly with students in Nicaragua, Hannah was able to tap into her existing international skills while developing brand new cross-cultural capabilities! Sarah already had some international teaching experience in Europe under her belt, but wanted to take things a step further by living and working somewhere completely different. Traveling with her partner to teach ESL in South Korea, Sarah learned that the best way to feel at home in a foreign culture is to dive in and participate.

After completing tours of duty as a reservist with the Canadian Armed Forces, Scott knew he wanted to become involved in community development work on the ground in Africa. Spending several months working with a grassroots NGO in Uganda, Scott was able to gain a valuable, eye-opening perspective on the challenges facing the populations he was working to assist.
